Damsel

He keeps acting
Like she some sort of damsel in distress
It is distracting
It causes her stress

She is aware of her own thoughts
She can stand her ground
She is connecting all the dots
And he is nowhere to be found

This is the difference
In being there and giving your support
Because the only one who is causing the sufferance
Is the man that decided to abort

Sometimes a woman wants a silent partner
Someone who doesn’t judge
He can’t always wear armour
Or carry a grudge

He has to make up his mind
About what he brings to the table
Otherwise all the words get twined
And she has to carry another label
